Vision Honored in Baltimore’s Top Workplaces List

In early December, Vision was honored to be recognized as a “Top Workplace” on a list of best work places in the Baltimore Metro area for 2011. The list was published by The Baltimore Sun.
The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program was based upon feedback from an employee survey. The survey included 23 questions covering the topics of:
• Direction: where the company is headed, its value and leadership
• Execution: how the company is getting to where it aims to go
• Career: opportunities for growth, training
• Managers: who listen, inspire confidence, and help their employees
• Pay and benefits: fair compensation
• Engagement: retention, motivation, and referral
More than 1200 companies were invited to participate in the program and of those 75 companies were selected for the Top Workplace award. The companies were ranked within their size band based solely on employee responses to the survey statements. The highest ranking employers in each size band were then selected as the Top Workplaces. Vision earned a prominent spot on the list for midsize employers (150-399 employees).
Vision had a tremendous response to the survey and a special Thank You goes out to each and every one of our employees who took time to respond to the survey. The Baltimore Sun cited the most important statement for area employees as “I believe the company is going in the right direction” and we believe that speaks volumes about Vision’s direction and future.
