Lauren Asghari
Recruiting Manager
Lauren Asghari became part of Vision’s Leadership Team when she assumed her role as the company’s Recruiting Manager in July 2008. In this capacity, Lauren leads the department’s pro-active recruiting efforts to attract and retain talented consultants. As she navigates the space between Vision’s enviable client roster and its network of thousands of qualified IT professionals, she’s never in doubt about what she seeks to accomplish.
“Recruitment is all about helping people find what’s next and what’s right for them,” says Lauren. “For some, it might be a resume boost; for others it’s a career. But in every case, our goal is to match competencies to opportunities. We all enjoy our job most when we’re doing our best work… and we do our best work when we like where we work. Making those connections is the fun and the challenge,” she says.
Lauren joined Vision in 2005 as a Technical Recruiter. She then progressed to a Team Lead role, where she was responsible for recruiting production, as well management and mentoring of a small team.
Lauren’s interest in the consulting industry and her pursuit of more opportunities as a recruiter took root soon after her career began as Project Analyst with TEKSystems. There, she was responsible for financial summary and progress reports, budget analysis, and corporate liaison for nationally managed projects.
Lauren earned her BA in Political Science and Masters in Communications from The Johns Hopkins University where she played basketball. She and her husband enjoy living in Baltimore City, attending concerts and staying active.
