Rob Troska, co-founded Vision Technology Services with Scott Cerasoli in 2001 and now serves as the firm’s Vice President of Service Delivery.
His long partnership with Scott Cerasoli has achieved a remarkable record of growth, year after year earning Vision a place near the top of the region’s fastest growing IT staffing companies.
Since the company’s earliest days, Rob has had a hand in shaping its culture and taken responsibility, at one time or another, for nearly every function in the business. His talent and passion, however, have kept him keenly focused on forging and sustaining relationships with Vision’s many, sector-leading clients.
“You don’t grow a business over the course of a decade without taking extraordinary care of hard-won clients,” says Rob. “I’m proud of the culture of service that has taken root at Vision. We never, ever take a client for granted nor assume their needs are taken care of. By being onsite frequently we remain connected with both client and our own consultants.”
Before exercising his inner entrepreneur with Scott, Rob was a top performer at Acuity Technology/Metro Information Services, a regional staffing company. As a Technical Director and Account Executive, Rob successfully created a positive culture, which led to significant improvement in employee retention. Rob played a major role in the success of the Baltimore Division, earning Outstanding Achievement Awards and promotion to new responsibilities including strategic account sales and management of the internal support team. Perhaps most important, it was through this experience that he met Scott, his future business partner.
Rob’s career in the technology industry started with System’s Alliance, a regional IT solutions and staffing company. He quickly earned significant responsibilities within the fast-growing firm, contributing to new client development, recruitment of technical personnel, and employee relations.
Prior making the change to technology, Rob began his professional career in the financial services industry with a regional insurance brokerage where he achieved great success. Rob was promoted to the Branch Brokerage Manager where he successfully recruited independent agents to use the financial service products from the stable of carriers the agency represented. Under his leadership, the branch earned the President’s Award four times for sales volume.
When he’s doing what he loves most, Rob is spending time with his wife, fishing with his boys, or coaching one or the other on the lacrosse field. Around the edges, he still finds time for golf and squash.
