Position Description

Required Skills:
-Relational Database and Operating System Experience
- At least two to five years of Visual C++ programming experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or engineering is required
- Proficient with PC hardware and software configurations
- Familiar with Relational Databases and Operating Systems
- One to three years of programming experience in C++ and .NET technologies

Preferred Skills:
- Helpful would be any math, engineering, science, or related discipline

Project Description:
Our client, a large logistic company is seeking multiple C++ Developers for their Towson, MD location. These positions will be supporting an existing transportation application. The application is mature and well established.
It is installed at 3000 customers worldwide and available in 13 different languages. The candidates will help to enhance the product to meet some contractual requirements for current sales cycles.
All coding will be done in C++ on a windows operating system. Three of the positions are focused on the back end, which entails good problem solving skills.
Two other positions are focused on the front end user interface. The user interface is written using Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in a senior role in the software design process
Identify, resolve, and proactively communicate potential problems
Display willingness to assist other departments in support of customers
Work under regular supervision and submit most work for review
Complete assigned administrative responsibilities
