QA Engineer - SSIS
About the position
Vision Technology Services has an immediate need for a QA engineer with experience testing in a Business Intelligence environment.
Quality Assurance Engineer:
Responsible for system/regression testing of Data Warehouse / BI solutions including ETL packages, stored procedures, SQL queries and other software and database objects.
BS or MS degree in Computer Sciences
Strong skills in SQL
The QA Engineer has knowledge of SDLC and QA tools and methodologies, develops and executes system test plans, develops and writes test strategy and test case documents.
He/she also tracks and reports defects using tools such as Quality Center, maps requirements to test cases, writes complex SQL queries, collaborates with ETL developers and DBAs to coordinate releases and prepares release instructions.
He/she plays a leading role in planning and executing User Acceptance Testing, he/she is a strong advocate of data quality in the data warehouse and establishes procedures or checks to validate and fix data quality issues. In addition, may perform other testing tasks deemed necessary by Management (e.g., volume/stress testing, security testing, business continuity/contingency testing, selected pilot/parallel testing, etc.).
